Important Update: 2023 Great Kaw Adventure Race

Dear Participants,

We hope this message finds you well. We want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you for registering for the 2023 Great Kaw Adventure Race.

As the event date approaches, we’ve been diligently preparing to make it an unforgettable experience. However, we have reached a pivotal decision that we believe is in the best interest of our participants, our dedicated river crews, and our safety teams.

Regrettably, due to lower-than-expected registration and sponsorship numbers, we have made the difficult choice to cancel the 2023 Great Kaw Adventure Race. This decision was made with the utmost respect for your expectations and the quality of experience we aim to provide.

We understand that this news may come as a disappointment, and for that, we sincerely apologize. Our goal has always been to deliver an event that we can take pride in, with exciting prizes for all participants. Unfortunately, this year, we are unable to meet those standards.

Here’s what you need to know about refunds and deferments:

Refunds: We will initiate refunds for all registered participants. These refunds, minus any handling fees from RunSignup, will be processed by Friday, September 22nd. Please allow a few business days for the refund to reflect in your account.

Deferment: If you would prefer to defer your registration to the 2024 Great Kaw Adventure Race, please send an email to gkardirector@gmail.com indicating your choice. We’ll be happy to accommodate your request.
